Digital Marketing Strategist

Destination Marketing is seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Strategist who is passionate about developing and executing digital marketing campaigns and programs across paid, earned, and owned media; encompassing PPC, SEO/SEM, email, social, display, and TrueView advertising campaigns through a variety of channels. We’re looking for a marketing leader experienced in developing digital marketing plans with focused test scenarios across all digital channels – optimizing successful campaigns based on data analysis and best practices; constantly evaluating new opportunities to generate traffic and maximize conversion rates. Adept at performing website analysis including keyword research and mapping, copy, link structure, site architecture, and page elements; establishing and reporting against KPIs utilizing various resources, including Google Analytics, transactions databases, etc. This person will be a Team Leader, highly organized, with proven project management chops, and an eye for growing the bottom line.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement large scale SEM Programs, Search Engine Optimization, Display Advertising, Email Marketing, Web Analytics, and Multivariate Testing and Optimization
  • Provide daily guidance, mentorship, and professional development, with intent to grow the Digital Department over time
  • Develop strategy and plans to drive online traffic to clients’ websites
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies that translate into proposals and bids
  • Utilize TrueView to generate sales, leads, or app installs for clients
  • Craft and execute Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay-per-click (PPC) strategies
  • Collaborate with Content Marketing team for online content development
  • Oversee accounts on search platforms; managing paid online campaigns
  • Engage with clients directly to communicate strategy, planning, and results
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create content and offers to drive lead conversion
  • Run Custom Affinity marketing programs
  • Collaborate with Account Directors and Account Managers
  • Plan and measure A/B testing and conversion rates; evaluating end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on findings
  • Generate weekly reports on website traffic, search performance, and PPC results

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant digital and online marketing experience with emphasis on website optimization and digital ad platforms, testing and tracking, analysis and reporting
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, digital technologies, communication, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience driving results through the following digital marketing channels: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Search & Display, Social Media, TrueView, and Email
  • Proficiency with WordPress, HTML, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, search and display advertising, retargeting, website management, SEO, SEM, and landing page optimization
  • Solid knowledge of B2B (lead generation) and B2C (E-commerce) digital marketing
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing successful digital marketing campaigns
  • A proven ability to set up and effectively utilize leading digital marketing analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Site Catalyst, etc.) to identify and report on insights important to driving business growth
  • Experience with A/B and/or multivariate testing to drive an increase in conversions on landing pages and website pages
  • Effective team management, process management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Experience working with digital marketing technologies such as CMS, marketing automation, and e-commerce platforms
  • Google Analytics/AdWords certified
  • Facebook ad campaign experience
