Destination Marketing, a leading Marketing and Advertising agency in the Pacific Northwest with over 20 years experience working with clients across the United States and Canada, has an immediate opening for an Associate Copywriter / Production Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a burgeoning, highly creative, advertising copywriter to not only create fun and interesting copy, but also involve themselves in many aspects of a thriving and highly productive studio environment.
OBJECTIVE: The primary function of this role is two fold: to provide day-to-day copywriting support to the Associate Creative Director, as needed, and to assist the Production Coordinator with studio production/planning related issues.
REPORTS TO: The candidate will work daily with the Associate Creative Director and the Production Coordinator, and reports to the Director of Studio Operations.
OVERVIEW: This person will work closely with our Associate Creative Director creating content, scripts and ad copy for a variety of advertising clients. The candidate will also have strong proofreading and editing skills and be responsible for reviewing all print materials as part of the quality control process. In addition, this person will be working with the Production Coordinator to provide support and coverage as needed, assist with various studio staff on a variety of projects and timelines, and consult often with the account team to insure internal creative and production expectations and deadlines are met.
REQUIREMENTS:
Copywriting 50%: This is a high volume, fast past, unpredictable workflow so versatile writing skills and a flexible, friendly demeanor is necessary. It is important to have the ability to take direction well, and yet work independently on certain assignments.
Studio Support and Project Planning 50%: In addition to meeting copy requirements this role will provide additional support for a variety or studio workflow related needs.
Administration: Provide necessary coverage for the Production Coordinator as needed, which involves troubleshooting and processing requests for creative services, and providing general support and logistics as requested.
Studio Support: Assist with sourcing a variety of Radio sound assets/affects as requested. Help with variety of tasks for both Radio and TV to minimize Editor/Producer down time.
Production Project Planning: Ability to manage complex tasks attributed to an assignment from start to finish. This may include developing and managing a project timeline throughout all phases of production to make sure key stakeholders stay on task and objectives are fully met.
General: Work with Director of Studio Operations to improve systems, expand resources and assist with the development of studio promotional materials as needed. Actively participates with the group as a collaborator for the betterment of the studio and agency.

- Knowledge of Excel, Visio and project planning software a huge plus
